The Problem

Your engineers are firefighters, not feature builders.

When production goes down, the entire resolution workflow lives across three disconnected tools. Every minute your team spends triaging manually is a minute not spent on your product.

Hours Lost to Context-Switching

Engineers toggle between Slack, GitHub, and local IDEs to piece together incident context — each switch bleeds momentum and delays the fix.

Tribal Knowledge Bottlenecks

The fix often lives in a Slack thread that will be archived and forgotten. Without automation, critical debugging context never makes it into the codebase.

Manual PR Overhead

Writing the patch, adding regression tests, and composing a well-described PR while production is down is cognitive overload on your best engineers.

#incidents-production|🔴 Active incident — order-service OOMKilled after deploy #312

Today

Hey team 👋 — production API is returning 503s on `/v2/orders`. Started about 20 minutes ago. Ticket #4821.

Confirmed. Looks like the order-service pod is OOMKilled. I see a spike in memory after the 10:10 deploy.

PN
Priya Nair10:18 AM

That deploy included the new pagination logic from PR #312. Memory usage wasn't flagged in staging because the dataset was too small.

Root cause: the cursor-based pagination is loading entire result sets into memory instead of streaming. Fix is straightforward — swap `toArray()` for an async iterator in `OrderRepository.findAll()`.

SC
Sarah Chen10:23 AM

Rolling back #312 now to restore service. Marcos, can you open a hotfix PR with the streaming fix and add a load test so this doesn't slip through staging again?

On it. Will target `main` with the fix + a Jest memory-leak test. Give me 30 min.

Features & Architecture

Three layers. One seamless pipeline.

ChatToPR is an end-to-end automation pipeline that maps directly to your existing incident response workflow.

Input Layer

Real-Time Slack Triage

ChatToPR listens to your incident channels and ingests the full conversation thread — usernames, timestamps, code snippets, and ticket references — giving IBM Bob complete context before it writes a single line.

  • Full thread context ingestion
  • Reaction & mention awareness
  • Ticket & PR cross-referencing
Core Engine

AI Code Generation

IBM Bob analyzes the thread, identifies the root cause, and synthesizes a production-ready patch with a regression test — all tailored to the exact file, function, and failure mode described by your team.

  • Root cause analysis from natural language
  • Context-aware patch generation
  • Automated Jest / unit test authoring
Output Layer

Automated GitHub PRs

The generated fix is committed to a new branch and a descriptive pull request is opened automatically — complete with a summary, affected files, and a link back to the Slack thread for full traceability.

  • Branch creation & commit automation
  • PR description with thread context
  • Full Slack ↔ GitHub traceability
